To make things slightly easier, dinner is naked. Not buck naked, but down to a diaper. Often times even without a bib.
Jackson thinks it's great fun to 'feed' me. And it started out when he offered me some of his watermelon. I gladly took a small bite and he went back to munching. NOW he wants to feed me everything. Tonight it was a piece of sweet potato pancake. . .covered in chicken pot pie and smashed peaches.
Yum. (Gag). I do find it incredibly endearing and have gotten very good at pretending to eat his sweet offering. Pretty much anything to get one of his million dollar smiles.
After dinner it's rub-a-dub-dub, Jackson in the tub.
Ha ha! I just looked at your blog for the first time. And I'm so glad I did. I fed my baby boy without a shirt on the other night for the first time. Mostly because he likes to blow raspberries while he eats...and carrots stain. AND when I put him in the tub at night I always tell him, "Rub a dub dub, baby Brendan's in the tub!" So funny.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how our dinner time goes. My hubs rarely makes it home in time for dinner, so it's me cooking for us and feeding our 10-month old. I prefer to feed him in nudie, too, and then I plop him directly in the tub. Luckily, our dog acts like a vacuum cleaner during dinner.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog via The Top Mom Blogs! Love it!
Hi Ladies! So excited to 'meet' you. I'll be checking out your blogs more once I get some free time (hopefully soon!).
ReplyDeleteErin, I know Carrie has mentioned you and your little one. Do you have a blog too?
Brook- We tell our dogs to 'clean up' after dinner and they go running to the high chair! I love Top Mom Blogs and will be sure to stop by and vote for you :)
We do have a blog...it's www.jonestimesfive.blogspot.com. I just started it a couple months ago at Carrie's suggestion. It has turned into the most convenient way to share what's going on with us with the rest of our family. And we are moving to Japan in December (yikes!!) so it will be even better for them to all keep up with us then!
